Superman is a recurring character in The LEGO Movie, The LEGO Batman Movie, and The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
Biography[]
The LEGO Movie[]
He first appears in the Master Builder conference within Cloud Cuckoo Land, and helps the characters fight off Bad Cop's Super Secret Police, but is later stuck to the ground by chewing gum which robots fire at him. Green Lantern then attempts to help him, despite Superman telling him to keep his distance, but gets stuck as well possibly due to not being very smart, causing Superman to tell Green Lantern "I super hate you".
Later on, when Lord Business captures all the Master Builders in Cloud Cuckoo Land, Green Lantern somehow ends up next to Superman in the Octan tower, and the latter asks if somebody had some Kryptonite, in a possible attempt to end his life.
Superman is then set free from the traps along with the other captured characters when Emmet sacrifices himself to stop an electric current from electrocuting the Master Builders.
The LEGO Batman Movie[]
He is briefly seen on a TV show where a news reporter talks to him about how he trapped General Zod in the Phantom Zone. This gives The Joker an idea of breaking out the villains trapped inside the Phantom Zone in order to conquer Gotham. Superman is later seen at the "57th Annual Justice League party" when Batman and Robin infiltrate the Fortress of Solitude to seize the Phantom Zone projector.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part[]
He is one of five superheroes who attempt to chase the DUPLO Invaders back to their original location when the war is first waged, but is not heard of and is presumed dead. Five years later, it is later revealed that Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi had "brainwashed" all the heroes into dancing to "Catchy Song". It is later revealed that the Systar System citizens were never actually brainwashed, but rather happy.
Trivia[]
