The Robo SWAT are characters in The LEGO Movie. They are robotic SWAT police officers owned by the Super Secret Police.

History

The Robo SWATs were first seen at the Super Secret Police Station in Bricksburg when Emmet Brickowski was being placed on the melting chamber by Bad Cop/Good Cop after finding the Piece of Resistance, only to be attacked by Wyldstyle.

As Emmet and Wyldstyle escaped using the Super Cycle constructed of various lego pieces in an alleyway in Bricksburg. Throughout the police chase, numerous Robo SWATs were being destroyed by Wyldstyle and Emmet both directly and indirectly, as well as getting a chair thrown at his head when Bad Cop threw a chair as he was angry about Emmet and Wyldstyle escaping Bricksburg.

Robo SWATs can be seen in President Business' office in the Octan Tower alongside the Robo Feds, as well as Velma Staplebot and the Radio DJ Robot.

Later, in the Old West, they are seen assisting Bad Cop capture Emmet, Wyldstyle, and Vitruvius, only to be destroyed.

During the invasion of Cloud Cuckoo Land, they are seen operating the Super Secret Police Dropships to capture Emmet, Wyldstyle, Vitruvius, Batman, and the rest of the Master Builders and take them to The Think Tank in the Octan Tower.

As Emmet and his friends reach the Octan Tower, there is a Robo SWAT being attacked by Batman's Battarangs.

After the final battle in Bricksburg, it is unknown if they have completely been destroyed or not, though it is shown that two have survived.

Appearance

The appearance of the Robo SWATs can vary, though the general appearance is that they have a robotic face, red eyes, and wear a tactical Super Secret Police dark blue uniform.

Trivia

• Their name is a possible reference to RoboCop, a famous fictional robotic police superhero.
  • They could also possibly be similar to the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day as their uniforms look somewhat similar. This could possibly mean that the Super Secret Police uniforms and colors are based on Los Angeles Police Department colors or just standard North American law enforcement colors and uniforms. However, the Robo SWATs cannot shapeshift.
• As all of them were shut down after the explosion of the Detachable Module of the Octan Tower, except 2 of them remained intact, it is unknown if they survived into Apocalypseburg or even Syspocalypstar.
