Lord Business was the President of the Octan Corporation and the World.
He serves as the avatar of the Man Upstairs/ Finn's father. Lord Business' obsession with keeping everything the way it is comes from the father's obsession with using Legos for his construction plans.

In the current time, he set up the TAKOS (Tentacle Arm Kragle Outside Sprayer; pronounced "Taco") so he could use the Kragle on the world.
