The LEGO Movie Wiki

Uh — hello, neighbor. (laughing) It's Green Lantern. Oh, my gosh! We're roommates! How crazy is that?

Biography[]

The LEGO Movie[]

Before Emmet is presented to the other Master Builders, Green Lantern is seen introducing himself to Superman and asking if they can sit together during the meeting. Superman makes the flimsy excuse of needing to go back to Krypton, to which Green Lantern replies, "Didn't Krypton blow up?"

During the Battle of Cloud Cuckoo Land, after Superman got stuck inside a big wad of gum shot out of Bad Cop's police car, Green Lantern rushed toward him, intending to help., even though the Man of Steel warned him not to approach. However, he got his arms stuck, and later his legs. Superman dryly stated how much he hated his situation.

In the Octan Tower Scene, Superman states how it couldn't get any worse, only to find out his cell is right next to Green Lantern's. Green Lantern doesn't seem scared or upset at all, chipperly saying, "Oh my, gosh! We're roommates! How crazy is that?" Superman then asked the Master Builders in the room at large if they had any Kryptonite to give him, probably in an attempt to end his life. Green Lantern is later freed when Emmet sacrifices himself to save the Master Builders.

The LEGO Batman Movie[]

Green Lantern appears in The LEGO Batman Movie during the scene at the 57th Annual Justice League Anniversary Party. He backs up Superman's lie that there was a mistake with the invitation email, saying, "Totally! Yes, email mistakes happen all the time! Sometimes I don't get Superman's emails for... years..." Superman then hastily concurs with this, saying, "Great point, GL, great point!".

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part[]

During Lucy's opening narration explaining about the Systar System's reign of terror on Bricksburg, Green Lantern is shown boarding the spaceship to reach the Systar System, saying that the others forgot about him. The door of the ship is closed on him while he is trying to make a speech, and after failing to convince the other Justice League members to reopen it, he says, "I don't care, it's just feelings. Stuff 'em down."

He is later seen in the suburban section of the Systar System with Superman and Lex Luthor, who are now friendly with him thanks to Queen Watevra's song. He participates with them in the Catchy Song and gets hit by a piece of debris when Emmet Master Breaks the sidewalk.

While the Systar System and Apocalypseburg are being destroyed in Armamageddon, Green Lantern is seen holding on to Superman's cape to avoid being sucked into the abyss as he says, "No, I was finally valued!"

After the destruction when everyone is trapped in the darkness of the Bin of Storage, Green Lantern remarks, "Hey, uh, Supes. You're, uh, pressed against me. It's no rush or anything." He is also seen briefly helping Master Build during the song Everything's Not Awesome.

GREEN LANTERN: Not exactly the sharpest tool in the Justice League toolbox, Green Lantern™ is always with the best intensions - but having lost his power-ring in all the post-apocalyptic chaos, that hand isn't particularly useful anymore!
