The Escape Buggy is a vehicle that first appeared in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. It was built by Emmet Brickowski and Lucy to escape General Sweet Mayhem.
Appearance[]
The Escape Buggy is a monster truck with a body appearing to be a mix of a muscle car and a pickup truck. It features some aspects from an everyday automotive, such as windshield wiper, racing stripes, and blinkers. The rest of the design is in the apocalyptic vein, including an aggressive looking engine, a caged bumper, and weaponry such as a harpoon gun and heat seeking missiles.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part[]
General Mayhem's Systar Starship is spotted by Lucy and Emmet and the two go to investigate in the ruins of Bricksburg. General Mayhem spots them and shoots a star at them, forcing them, along with Unikitty to flee. Emmet's Thricycle is destroyed in the pursuit and Lucy begins to build the escape buggy. After they finish building, General Mayhem shoots two Hearts into a worn down building, falling onto the highway the Buggy was driving on and it ends up driving through an abandoned dentist office.
Failing to pay attention to the obstacle ahead, Emmet inadvertently crashes into his house and is distraught from the destruction. Lucy tells Unikitty to sent out a flare to signal Batman and Alfred Pennyworth to send the battle cars in which they do. The battle cars get progressively decimated by Mayhem and Metalbeard tells everyone that it's time to panic after his Heavy Metal Motor Trike is destroyed. Lucy gets Unikitty provide a boost by telling her about people with raisins, which angers her and successfully provides boost for the buggy. General Mayhem sends two Hearts after the Buggy, and they explode, destroying the vehicle.

Trivia[]
- While Lucy building the Harpoon gun, it appears slightly larger, but by the next shot, it appears to have shrunken in size closer to it's set form.
- The Escape Buggy set can be combined with the Ultrakitty set.
