Armamageddon[note 1] is a dramatic event that is featured in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. Within the LEGO Universe, It is an apocalyptical event that leads to the destruction of the interconnected worlds of ApocalypseBurg and Systar System and it's transfer into the "Bin of Sto-rajj". This event is triggered by Finn and Bianca's mother intervening in the former two's arguments, which since the DUPLO Invaders first arrival to Bricksburg and the aforementioned's destruction, Armamageddon became incredibly portent. And 5 years later, a minifigure named Rex Dangervest intended to cause Armamageddon by manipulating his past self, Emmet Brickowski, into thwarting Watevra Wa'Nabi's and Batman's wedding.

History[]

Wyldattackduplo

Lucy attacking a DUPLO Invader, the first domino to fall for the Armamageddon Crisis.

In the real world, "The Man Upstairs" gives Finn permission to come into the basement and play with his LEGO City and his other creations, along with his younger sister, Bianca. Finn acknowledging the potential threat Bianca could bring to the LEGO display and responds with "What?"

After Emmet Brickowski attempts to make piece with the DUPLO Invaders, one of them eats the heart that he had created and demands more. Lucy interprets these demands as a threat and yells "Attack", she builds a hammer and attacks one of the duplo invaders, causing their flower accessory to fall and they cry in retaliation, shattering the windows of the buildings in Bricksburg, sparking the first ever battle against the Systar System and the first fall into the brink of Armamageddon. After this battle, Bricksburg is left in ruins and overtime, was rebuild into Apocalypseburg, due to multiple inhabitants from the Systar System disrupting the process of rebuilding Bricksburg.

Atop the ruined Statue of Liberty in Apocalypseburg, Lucy and Emmet share a brooding session where Emmet reveals multiple visions (which he believed to be a weird dream) hinting later events leading up to Armamageddon, such as one where Gandalf shouts "It's Armamagaddon" and Lucy falling into the void. Lucy questions Emmet if this dream was actually a vision of the future, but Emmet dismisses this. Sometime during this, within the Systar System Watevra Wa'Nabi and General Sweet Mayhem plan for a wedding between the former and Batman to put an end to the Armamageddon Crisis and establish peace between Apocalypseburg and their home. Sweet Mayhem arrives to the ruins of Bricksburg and chases Emmet, Lucy, and Unikitty in their newly built Escape Buggy to the fortified Batcave. Sweet Mayhem enters the batcave and reveals an invitation to the previously planned wedding at 5:15, which Emmet connects to his previous dream. During this invitation General Mayhem kidnaps Lucy, Unikitty, Batman, Benny and MetalBeard.

Emmet, soon to be Rex Dangervest, witnessing an Argument between Finn and Bianca and their mother intervening.

In a different timeline, after Emmet builds his House ship and enters the stairgate. He is met with glasteroids. He attempts to blast his way through the asteroid field but to no avail, as he crashes the House ship and falls into Undar of the Dryar Sytem. He gets a sight of an argument between Finn and Bianca, due to Bianca presumably perpetrating the crash and Finn losing Emmet. Finn's Mother is also seen and threatens her children to put them in storage. This version of Emmet was left abandoned in Under for an undated amount of time, slowly turning into his newfound alias, Rex Dangervest.

Within the Concurrent universe. Emmet, with the help of Rex Dangervest makes it past the stairgate and arrives in the Systar System and meets with Lucy within a Planet Duplo transport, where they are taken to a lair where a wedding cake is being built. This same moment, Wa'Nabi successfully convinces Batman into marrying her. And the two prepare for the wedding, with Wa'Nabi tasking General Mayhem into setting up the soundtrack for the wedding. Lucy attempts to thwart Mayhem, and a fight ensues between the two. General Mayhem is defeated and nearly falls into a shaft, but is rescued by Lucy, and the former reveals that the wedding was to prevent Armamageddon and unite the worlds in peace. Lucy, realizing that the Systar System's existence was caused by the Heart Emmet had previously built for the DUPLO Invaders, attempts to convince Emmet, who is unaware that he is being used into initiating Armamageddon by Rex, but to no avail and destroys the wedding. Disheartening the residents of the Systar System. The wedding cake begins to fall apart and Emmet is taken away by Rex, while Lucy is abandoned and is launched by a statue into the real world onto a desk in Bianca's room.

Our Mama, gets in.

In the real world, colossal footsteps are heard approaching Bianca's room, revealed to be the footsteps of her and Finn's mother, enters the room. Asking what's going on but doesn't get a straight answer from neither Finn or Bianca. Fed up with the constant feuds and motivated by the pain of stepping on LEGO bricks, she tells her children to put the bricks in storage. Finn and Bianca attempt to beg for another chance but to no avail, as they are further encouraged by The Man Upstairs to listen to their mother or else she would put the bricks away herself, finally sparking Armamageddon after countless times on the brink of the apocalyptic event.

In the LEGO Universe, a void opening to the Bin of Sto-rajj appears in both Apocalypseburg and the Systar System and progressively destroys both locations, which are eventually desimated and all bricks present fell victim to the void.

Trivia[]

  • The Old West, Middle Zealand and the Space Cape were all unaffected when Armamageddon took place, obviously due to Finn's mother telling Finn to only put Apocalypseburg into storage.
    • In Bianca's room, the Palance of Infinite Reflection also remained intact.
    • Again because Armamageddon targeted only Apocalypseburg, and Systar-System.
  • Armamageddon is derived from Armageddon, a prophesied location where a massive battle would take place during the end of modern times.

Notes[]

  1. A corruption of the phrase "our mama gets in" and a play on the word "Armageddon".
