A house divided against itself... would be better than this.

–Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln is a reoccurring supporting character and master builder in The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. He is voiced by Will Forte. He is frequently seen in a flying chair.

In real life, he was known as the 16th President of the United States, serving from 1861 to 1865.

Background[]

The Lego Movie[]

When Emmet tells everyone in a meeting in Cloud Cuckoo Land he flies away because he was unimpressed by Emmet not being a Master Builder.

Official Description[]

From LEGO.com:

Abraham Lincoln: “Four score and twenty bricks ago…”

Nicknamed “Honest Abe” because he never borrows anybody’s bricks without giving them back, Abraham Lincoln lives in a log cabin that he built all by himself, in the middle of a forest that he built all by himself, then cut down, and then rebuilt all by himself again.

Abraham Lincoln is full of good and fair advice, so his fellow Master Builders often ask him to settle arguments over who gets to build what. He would probably make a great leader, but President Business’s Octan Corporation makes all of the voting machines![2]

Trivia[]

  • He is voiced by Will Forte, who also played Abe Lincoln in the MTV series Clone High, another project developed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
  • In minute 1:20:50 of the Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Abraham Lincoln is said the following: ' I had theater tickets tonight! No! ', This is a reference to when Real-Life Abraham Lincoln was shot dead at a theater during night-time.
